Premier Helmets
The right motorcycle helmet size without trying it on
Home page
Premier Helmets is an Italian motorcycle helmet brand founded in 1956. I built its Polish shop from the ground up, with model, size and visor selection tools.
“Find your helmet” wizard
A speedometer dial shows progress, and after five questions about riding style, customers get matching helmets with an explanation of why they were picked.
Helmet page with cm sizing
Customers choose the visor and their size in centimetres of head circumference right above the buy button, and a weight scale compares the helmet with other models in the shop.
Helmet buying guide
Below the list of helmets there is a comparison article and a table of models, which customers can sort by lightest or cheapest and narrow down with a “must have” filter.
Helmet list with filters
A description of the helmet type, shortcuts to models and filters by shell, features, weight and available size help narrow the list down to a few models.
Premier Helmets, an Italian motorcycle helmet brand established in 1956, needed a Polish online shop for 34 helmets in 16 models. I analysed the size charts and features of every model and used them as the basis for a selection wizard, a size comparison in centimetres and a preview of the road as seen through each visor. Before launch, the shop passed a 100-point audit, and it scores 98/100 in Google’s mobile speed test.

01Challenge
Customers cannot try a helmet on online, and sizes vary between models: size L corresponds to a 58 cm head circumference in the Trophy model and 59 cm in the Hyper. Before buying, they also ask about the weight, visor and features, so the shop had to answer these questions without involving customer service. At the same time, the brand’s catalogue had to be moved from the previous platform so that existing URLs would lead to the right pages.
02Solution
- I analysed the size charts of 16 models and set them side by side in centimetres of head circumference, so that customers can choose the right helmet without trying it on.
- I designed the “Find your helmet” wizard, which narrows down the range in five questions and explains, for each suggestion, why the model suits the customer’s riding style.
- I built a pricing module that imports the manufacturer’s price lists from files and converts prices from euros at the National Bank of Poland exchange rate, so staff do not have to retype them.
- I migrated the catalogue while preserving the old URLs and, before launch, carried out a 100-point audit and tested 19 page types at six screen widths.
