An electric bike shop that helps customers choose the right model
Home page
The Poznań-based bikenergy shop offers 49 e-bike models. I migrated it to a new platform and added tools to choose a bike and calculate range and instalments.
“Find your bike” configurator
Questions about routes, terrain, weight and budget require no technical knowledge, and the configurator turns the answers into specifications and points to bikes that are in stock.
Bike page with gauges
The monthly instalment appears right next to the prices excluding and including VAT, and gauges like those on a bike computer compare the bike’s range, battery, torque and weight with all other bikes in the shop.
9-chapter buying guide
Numbers on a drawing of a bike lead to the chapters, which include a range calculator and frame sizing by height, both based on the models in the shop.
16 roundups of current models
Pages by budget, features and wheel size give an automatic overview of the line-up, e.g. 26 models up to PLN 8,000, priced from PLN 3,599.
The Poznań-based online shop bikenergy offers 49 electric bike models from six brands and delivers every bike fully assembled and adjusted. After analysing the data and settings of the existing shop, I migrated it in full to a new platform, keeping all existing URLs. In the new shop, a configurator recommends a bike based on simple questions about routes and budget, and customers see the range and monthly instalment straight away, before they buy.

01Challenge
The shop had to be moved to a new platform together with its catalogue, customer accounts and order history, while keeping all existing URLs. Customers choosing a bike that costs several thousand zloty also needed tools to compare range, specifications and instalment costs.
02Solution
- I analysed the data and settings of the existing shop and then migrated it in full, with its catalogue, customer accounts, orders and old URLs.
- I designed an eight-question configurator, a nine-chapter guide, and range and instalment calculators that help customers compare bikes and make a decision.
- I rebuilt the checkout so that BLIK, a mobile payment method widely used in Poland, works without leaving the shop, and company details for invoices fill in automatically once the Polish tax ID (NIP) is entered.
- I automated routine work for the shop’s staff, from abandoned basket reminders and shipping notifications to a generator of 343 printable model sheets.

04Before and after
Drag the slider to compare the two versions.

Instead of a banner with text baked into the image: a bike card with price, range, battery and torque, plus shortcuts to the configurator and the guide.
The “before” screenshots show the shop as it was on Shoper, recreated 1:1 in the first stage of the migration (with minor tweaks to the tiles), because no web archive had saved a copy of it.
05Results
The shop runs on the new platform with its full catalogue, customer accounts and bike selection tools.
