Centrum Gadatek
An online training shop rebuilt without changing its look
Home page
Centrum Gadatek in Poznań provides communication therapy and trains therapists. I rebuilt its website and shop, preserving all orders and participant accounts.
List of upcoming sessions
Each session shows the date, times and venue on separate lines, along with the price and a sign-up button, so participants can see at once whether the training suits them.
Training session page
The session page shows the number of places available, which the owner sets in the admin panel, so participants know immediately whether they can still sign up.
Courses and workshops
Photos next to course descriptions are cropped around faces, and a permanent notice states that the courses are intended for professionals.
Centrum Rozwoju Porozumiewania Gadatek in Poznań supports families through communication therapy and trains therapists in workshops, webinars and supervision sessions. I analysed the previous version and transferred its look to new code that is simpler to maintain, and the owner reviewed everything on a hidden preview before launch. The new version replaced the old one with all orders and participant accounts preserved, and the number of add-ons that need updating fell from 31 to eight.

01Challenge
The website and training shop ran on an outdated version of the content management system with 31 add-ons that needed constant updates, and the home page and subpages worked as a separate application embedded in the theme. The owner wanted to keep the familiar look, and orders and participant accounts created during the rebuild had to be preserved.
02Solution
- I analysed the previous version and transferred its look 1:1 to new, simpler code, comparing screenshots of the old and new website.
- I updated the content management system and reduced the number of add-ons from 31 to eight, so the website takes less work to maintain.
- I created session cards with the date, times, venue and price, plus a field for available places that the owner sets in the admin panel.
- I gave the owner a hidden preview of the new version and carried out the launch on the shop’s live data, with a plan in place to restore the previous version.
